KRAKOW to KIEV via Lvov and the deep heart of the Galicia region - 8 day trip from the 7th July

For anyone interested in this trip of UKRAINE we will be travelling by minibus starting the day after the JEWISH CULTURE FESTIVAL in KRAKOW thus actually leaving Krakow on Monday 8th July very early about 7am to collect people arriving on the 7.15am RyanAir flight from Luton that lands at 10.50 am. Single fare is currently £77. Book flights RYANAIR Stansted to Rzeszow leaves 7.15 am lands 10.50 if you wish just to do Ukraine Tour

If you can afford the time then the KRAKOW CULTURE festival climaxes on Saturday 6th July commencing at 6pm which is a joy to behold and cannot be recommended highly enough with a 7 hour Jewish musical plus Klezmer experience before 15,000 people in the Jewish quarter of Kazimierz. Again the best flights to book are RyanAir from Stansted as there are 2 every day.

A full programme is available from whenever you wish to arrive in Krakow that can include guided walks and visit to Auschwitz - Birkenau & Oswiecien shul & museum before Sunday 7th July early start on minibus for Ukraine.

On Sunday 7th July after leaving Krakow then picking up at Rzeszow airport we will be in able to visit Lancut Synagogue and the castle grounds there before we travel on to Lejask for Elimelech's Cava and Belgec death camp before we enter Ukraine and head for Lvov.

In organising the 8 days in Ukraine our costing will be based on a per person per day basis dependent when you choose to conclude trip either from Lvov [Tuesday 9th July] Kiev [Sunday 14th July] and will be costed at £125 per per per day sharing a double room [£165 per person single costs] Hotels 3/4* includes all food, guide costs with us throughout includes museum fees and transport costs.

We will require a deposit of £150 deposit per person with completion of the attached booking form

Day 1: Sunday 7th July 2013
Early morning depart Stanstead airport to Rzeszow in Poland and drive to Ukrainian border (100 km) after crossing the border in Krakovets meet your local escort guide drive to Lvov (75 km)
Please note that Ukrainian buses ARE NOT ALLOWED to enter Poland without passengers that is why a Polish bus has to bring the clients to Lvov hotel and return back. Starting from LVOV there will be a Ukrainian bus. Visit to the main tourist sites in Lvov. Dinner at the hotel

Day 2: Monday 8th July
Walking tour of the central part of Lvov visiting the former Jewish Quarters and other important Jewish areas plus main town sites plus visit to Dubno and sorrounding area

Day 3: Tuesday 9th July
Continuation of the Lvov city tour by bus (to visit the monuments on the site of the former labour camp where the Jews met their death.
About 12.00 departure by bus for Chernivtsi (280 km, driving without stops 4 hrs) with stops in Rogatyn, Ivano-Frankovsk (a short city tour, visit of local Synagogue) and Kolomyia About 19.00 in Chernivtsi

Day 4: Wednesday
Half day tour of Chernivtsi with a visit of local Jewish cultural society, cemetery Local University (former Bukovyna Bishop palace)
Lunch at a city restaurant then afternoon departure by bus to Kamenets-Podolsky (90 km)

Shabbos & Overnight in Kamenets-Podolsky

Day 5: Thursday
Afternoon tour of Kamenets-Podolsky (museum-town where Polish, Jewish, Russia,
Armenian, Ukrainian culture flourished in the past) late PM departure for Vinnitsa in the past centre of Chassidic Dynasty
Afternoon leave for a journey to Carpathian mountains to Vizhnitsa - Dinner at the hotel & overnight in Vizhnitsa

Day 6: Friday
Morning visit to Berdychiv before lunch in the city and departing for Kiev. Afternoon drive to Medjibosh to visit the grave of the tzaddik Ba’al Shem Tov.
Attending Shabbos evening services in main Synagogue in Kiev - Overnight in Kiev

Day 7: Saturday
Shabbos Morning shul visit then lunch with the Jewsih community
Walking tour of city centre and its Jewish sites - Evening river boat tour with meal

Day 8: Sunday
Visit to Babi Yar before travelling to the airport for Homebound flight back to the UK - Alternatively make own arrangements with flight to Odessa
